Camp Play

Kabeyun staged two original plays in 2025, both written by drama counselor Twan Baart and workshopped by campers. Each play was set at a fictionalized version of Kabeyun. In Session 1, the “Legacy of the Mongoose” followed two groups of campers through a series of challenges detailed in a mysterious book. Session 2’s play, titled “The Wizarding World of Kabeyun,” featured Harry Potter-inspired characters and intrigue!

Cabin Skits

After a two-year break, cabin skits returned in 2025! This is the one night that every camper gets on stage alongside his cabin mates for a short, often humorous, performance in front of the rest of the community. To inspire counselors’ and campers’ creativity and preparation, this year’s cabin skits were a friendly competition judged by a few staff members not affiliated with any cabin. The Owls won during Session 1, while the Woodchucks won in Session 2. Campers in the winning cabin were treated to soda at banquet, while their counselors won the right to have a senior staff member cover one of their weekly assigned duties. We look forward to more cabin skits in 2026!
